Code of Practice and Global Code of Ethics
My Code of Practice sets out what clients can expect from my coaching for Executives and Senior Level Leaders.
It complements and is to be read in conjunction with the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors - see EMCC Global Code of Ethics
Contracting
Coaching conversations are a meeting of equals.
Specific contracting arrangements will be confirmed in a confidential coaching contract, bespoke to each coaching client.
I will be proactive in promoting coaching clients’ self-efficacy and belief in their own resourcefulness in rising to their challenges.
Coaching is non-directive. Coaching clients are not instructed to take a particular course of action and therefore retain both responsibility and accountability for their choices and actions.
Confidentiality
We will typically meet virtually, always in settings conducive to confidential disclosure and discussion, without interruption, so that conversations are held in psychologically safe spaces.
Sue Marsh Coaching is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office which enforces the provisions of the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as other relevant legislation
I will comply with data protection laws, ensuring that Sue Marsh Coaching processes personal information in a fair and transparent manner that respects an individual’s rights.
Supervision and Continuing Professional Development
I will receive one-to-one coaching supervision from a suitably qualified Supervisor and also participate in peer supervision.
I will undertake reflective practice and professional development as an Executive and Senior Level Coach on an on-going basis to ensure that I remain up-to-date and continue to build my expertise.
